Gina is a transgendered actor/director from the Fairfield county area of CT. Gina has been in theatre both professionally and in a community theatre platform for most of her 32 years. She now works full time as a board certified hair colorist and stylist. Gina has a devout passion for the arts and an equal obsession for musical theatre. The Bridgeport Theatre Company in residence at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport CT under artistic direction of Eli Newsom, has been her artistic home going into season 5. She has performed in BTC hits such as HAIRSPRAY, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT, LEND ME A TENOR and others. She has assisted Christy Mcintosh Newsom in assistant directing critically acclaimed productions of NEXT TO NORMAL and the sold out run of DREAMGIRLS. She approaches this season directing THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW EXPERIENCE. Her passion for musical theatre has her all over the area taking in as many regional, community and broadway productions as possible. She also ventures to London's West End every other year to see as many productions as possible. Her next trip to the west end will be in May where the new production of MISS SAIGON and Jenna Russel in URINETOWN is at the top of her list. As a child she was a member of Actors Equity Association and was seen on Broadway, Regionally and in national tours. Thanks to Fairfield County Theatre icon Melinda Zupaniotis she has been able to keep her passion alive and well.
