Melbourne Ballet Company to Premiere BEING & TIME

Being &Time is an exhilarating World Premiere triple bill which Melbourne Ballet Company will perform at The Concourse Theatre on Saturday March 11 at 7.30pm & Sunday March 12 at 2pm, 2017.

The contemporary ballet will feature Internationally acclaimed Italian ballerina Mara Galeazzi (Royal Ballet Principal Artist). It has been created by leading choreographers Tim Podesta (South African Ballet Theatre, Projection Dance), Lucas Jervies (Australian Ballet, Scapino Ballet and Sydney Dance Company) and MBC Director and Resident Choreographer Simon Hoy (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet New York, Carolina Ballet, Ballet Mainz, Germany).

The ballet delves into the belief that philosophical thinking begins with and reflects its human subjects, in their acting, feeling, and as recognisable living human individuals. This existential understanding of being is grounded in time.

Founded in 2007 MBC is a not-for-profit organisation which has now grown to become one of Australia's most loved dance companies. The artistic policy of MBC is to present new work, modern ballet performed by highly trained classical dancers. Since its launch MBC has presented over 35 original works.
