Featuring everyone's favourite diva, Trevor Ashley, LIZA'S BACK! (is broken) explores what would happen if Liza Minelli performed all the great Broadway roles she never got to play, and can be seen at Arts Centre Melbourne's Fairfax Studio from 20 - 31 January 2015.

There is no doubt about it. Liza Minnelli is a true Broadway legend. However, her appearances on the musical stage have been few and far between, and she's only ever sung in a couple of true movie musicals...

So what would happen if Liza decided to perform all the great Broadway roles she never got to play, in one special night?

Much-loved diva, and three-time Helpmann nominee Trevor Ashley (Les Miserables, Diamonds Are For Trevor) premieres a brand new show exclusively at Arts Centre Melbourne, after hit seasons of Liza (on an E) across Australia, Europe and on London's West End.

LIZA's BACK! (is broken) explores the parts that Minnelli should have done over the last forty years - those great leading lady roles from Mame to Grizabella to Norma Desmond and all others in between. Ever wanted to see Liza tackle Wicked? Then this is the show for you!

Direct from rehab, and live with a 7-piece big band, don't miss Liza singing Broadway's greatest hits, including I Have Confidence, Memory, Send in the Clowns, Le Jazz Hot plus her own classics Maybe This Time, Cabaret and New York, New York!

Liza has also recorded a version of Do You Hear The People Sing from Les Miserables, a performance Trevor Ashley has been appearing in as Thenardier for the past two years in, which is available for purchase from iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/do-you-hear-people-sing-single/id1033329248

"Ashley is a cheeky crowd teaser and, unquestionably, a crowd pleaser." HERALD SUN

"Ashley will jump through any hoop to keep you entertained, and he always keeps the outline of the awkward, emotionally frail girl shimmering behind the star." THE AGE

"Ashley is a master of his art. He catches every essence of Minnelli." GAY TIMES UK
