We enter our 10th year of delivering quality, high end cabaret to Perth audiences and are thrilled to announce a bigger, bolder programme than ever before in this nineteen performance season, spanning from May to October.

The inclusion of some of Australia?s greatest musical theatre performers to now grace our main
stage as part of this season, not to mention the incredible opportunity to bring to our audiences a
truly legendary international performer that would otherwise not be seen in Western Australia, is
going to be a fitting 10th Anniversary celebration.

We are genuinely excited to make this leap forward for our patrons and to introduce five major acts on the main stage of His Majesty?s Theatre. These feature a Broadway National Treasure Chita
Rivera and national icons Caroline O?Connor, Rhonda Burchmore, Tom Burlinson and Paul Capsis.
The entertainment continues DownStairs at the Maj every Wednesday to Saturday from 22 June to
1 October with international and national cabaret and comedy artists as well as a bountiful bevy of
Perth?s hottest cabaret and music theatre stars headlining fourteen fresh and original shows.
It is all part of the magic of the Maj so welcome to the first big step forward in Cabaret for Perth.
Cabaret and Comedy Carnivale commences on Thursday 26 May with An Evening With Caroline
O'Connor - A Musical Life. Multi award-winning Caroline O'Connor has graced the stages of
Broadway, the West End, the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House and now brings her
intoxicating blend of rich vocals and bewitching tales to the main stage of His Majesty?s Theatre.

Rhonda Burchmore is one of Australia?s leading musical theatre and cabaret artists still wowing
audiences with her sensuality, comedy, dance, energy and phenomenal vocal talents. Legs 11
celebrates her life in front of the lights and backstage, and coincides with the release of her
autobiography of the same title.

TOM BURLINSON - NOW WE'RE SWINGIN'
with a Sixteen Piece Big Band
Wednesday 8 June
Come fly with Tom Burlinson and a fabulous band of top musicians as Tom salutes the masters of
vocal swing: Frank Sinatra, Nat „King? Cole, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr, and
Bobby Darin. Also celebrating the swing superstars of today - Harry Connick Jr, Michael Bublé and
Robbie Williams.

PAUL CAPSIS: MAKE ME A KING

Internationally acclaimed performing sensation Paul Capsis in the intimate show, Make Me A King,
pays homage to his musical influences accompanied by an extraordinary jazz trio led by Alister
Spence. The repertoire includes songs of REM, Lou Reed, Irma Thomas, Billie Holiday, Nina
Simone, Dinah Washington and a few surprises

Fresh from sell-out shows around the country, the dynamic father-daughter duo perform early jazz
and blues songs of the smokey speakeasies and storyville parlours of the 1920s and „30s. Songs
include Beer Drinking Woman (Memphis Slim), Pig Slew Blues, Summertime (Gershwin), Weed
Smoker's Dream (McCoy) and St James Infirmary Blues.

Comedians Aamer Rahman and Nazeem Hussain, (Best Newcomer Award, Melbourne International
Comedy Festival) present a brand new show in their trademark confrontational style. Expect to howl
with laughter and leave with something to think about as they boldly tackle the delicate topics of
Islam and growing up brown in white Australia.

Lady Day was a true jazz diva, admired the world over for her deeply personal approach to singing.
Cabaret artist AnaLisa Bell takes you on the journey that is Billie Holiday featuring notable standards God Bless the Child, What a Little Moonlight Can Do, Embraceable You and Strange Fruit.

Acclaimed singer, pianist and entertainer, Trevor Jones? new show is an entertaining evening of
anecdotes, songs and stories about his special ability to land in dating situations that could only
happen to him. You?ll hear tales of happy endings, redheads, impotence, inappropriate groping and
a Beatles song about coming together.5

Perth jazz diva Ali Bodycoat pays tribute to one of her inspirations - the Queen of Soul, Aretha
Franklin. Accompanied by a five-piece band and backing vocals, Ali celebrates the music and life
of Aretha Franklin including her most loved hits Respect, Natural Woman, Chain of Fools and Think.
