On 29 October 2014 Arts Centre Melbourne will celebrate its 30th Anniversary! October 29 1984 marked the date when all three venues - the Theatres Building with its famous spire, the Melbourne Concert Hall (now Hamer Hall), and Melbourne's premier outdoor music venue Sidney Myer Music Bowl - came under one banner as The Victorian Arts Centre.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Centre, we are creating a Time Capsule that will be installed in Arts Centre Melbourne's Performing Arts Collection. The Time Capsule will contain valuable contributions from some of our artists, Arts Centre Melbourne staff, and other memorabilia and is to be opened in 30 years, when Arts Centre Melbourne will be a grand dame of 60!

General public are invited to enter to submit their favourite memories of Arts Centre Melbourne via our online competition. The winner will have their story placed in the time capsule - a record of their time with Arts Centre Melbourne to live throughout the ages! Further details on the competition are included in the attached media release.
