Jennifer Hudson appeared on LATE NIGHT WITH Seth Meyers last night to discuss making her Broadway debut in the current revival on THE COLOR PURPLE. Discussing her casting as Shug Avery, Hudson revealed, "I've never been able to play a glamourous character, so that took me back." She quickly added, "but I think I found my inner Shug!" The new Broadway revival of THE COLOR PURPLE opened on December 10 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W 45th Street).
