Uzo Aduba, Kevin Spacey Among Nominees for 22nd ANNUAL SAG AWARDS

Nominees for the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® for outstanding individual, cast and ensemble performances in film and television of 2015, as well as the nominees for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning at the Pacific Design Center's SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood.

SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President Gabrielle Carteris introduced Anna Faris (Mom, The House Bunny) and Anthony Mackie (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Hurt Locker), who announced the nominees for this year's Actors® live on TNT, TBS, truTV,sagawards.tntdrama.com and truTV.com. Prior to that, SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and Committee Member Jason George announced the stunt ensemble nominees during a live webcast on sagawards.tntdrama.com. Broadway veterans and theater stars abounded in this year's esteemed list of nominations. In film, the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role included Tony Winner Bryan Cranston for TRUMBO, Michael Fassbender for STEVE JOBS and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for THE DANISH GIRL.

Female nominees for the same category included Cate Blanchett for CAROL and Helen Mirren for WOMAN IN GOLD. Mark Rylance received a nod for BRIDGE OF SPIES for the category of Male Supporting Actor.

SPOTLIGHT received a nomination for the film's ensemble cast which includes SOMETHING ROTTEN's Brian d'Arcy James, THE NORMAL HEART's Mark Ruffalo, Liev Schreiber, LEND ME A TENOR's Stanley Tucci (Lend Me a Tenor), and WAITING FOR GODOT's Billy Crudup.

In television, in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for a TV Movie or Miniseries, Mark Rylance was once again recognized for his role as Thomas Cromwell in PBS's WOLF HALL. For Female Actor in the same category, THE WIZ LIVE's Queen Latifah received a nod for her starring role in HBO's BESSIE. She will compete against Susan Sarandon (Lifetime's THE SECRET LIFE OF MARILY MONROE) among others.

For Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series, Kevin Spacey was recognized for his role as Francis Underwood in Netflix's HOUSE OF CARDS. The nominees for Best Female Actor in the same category include Claire Danes (Showtime's HOMELAND), Viola Davis (ABC's HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER) and Maggie Smith (Violet Crawley in DOWNTON ABBEY)

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy includes Jim Parsons for his role of Sheldon Cooper in CBS's BIG BANG THEORY and William H. Macy for his role as Frank in Showtime's SHAMELESS. Nominees for Best Female Actor in the same category include Uzo Aduba as "Crazy Eyes" in Netflix's ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK and Edie Falco for her lead role in Showtime's NURSE JACKIE. Aduba also got a nod in the category of Best Ensemble cast for 'ORANGE', alongside THE COLOR PURPLE's Danielle Brooks.

UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT star Ellie Kemper shared her reaction to her nomination for Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series: "I'm so honored to be recognized by my peers in this way, and to be included in such an exceptional group of women. And I want to thank Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane for making this show." (courtesy of NBC)

The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® presented by SAG-AFTRA with Screen Actors Guild Awards, LLC will be produced by Avalon Harbor Entertainment, Inc. and will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). TBS and TNT subscribers can also watch the SAG Awards live through the networks' websites and mobile apps. In addition, TNT will present a primetime encore of the ceremony immediately following the live presentation.
