TotalRecall Publications announced today publication of 'Gray Ghost,' a new crime/mystery novel by C.L. Swinney that puts readers smack in the middle of international drug smuggling in the Bahamas and Miami. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Swinney has investigated hundreds of narcotics, homicide, gang, and Mexico cartel cases in the US, UK, Mexico, Canada, and China. He's recognized as an expert in narcotics, wiretaps, and cell phone forensics and uses his experiences to give readers an authentic feel for what it's like to deal with the dark and mysterious drug world.

The story opens as narcotics detectives and good buddies Dix and Petersen begin a fly fishing vacation on Andros Island in the Bahamas. Their good intentions to just relax are soon interrupted by the discovery that their fishing guides were killed by a sudden gunfire blast that fractured their speedboat, Gray Ghost. Local gossip has it that Gray Ghost sunk to the ocean floor with a hundred million dollars' worth of cocaine in the hull.

Try as they might to remain in vacation mode, Dix and Petersen, against their better judgment, are drawn into helping their island friends solve the murders - even though it could cost them their careers. Soon, the two off-duty detectives are chasing down leads all around in the Bahamas and in Miami. Their investigation identifies the diabolical plot of a sinister man known only as "the Caller," a criminal mastermind with an intriguing mix of people on his payroll - including law enforcement.

An elaborate trap is set for The Caller, but he's two steps ahead of the detectives. As the drama unfolds, it's unclear who can be trusted. When it appears that The Caller will get away yet again, Dix and Petersen exhaust everything they have in an effort full of twists and turns to capture this slippery genius of the drug underworld.

'Gray Ghost' is available in Audible, hardcover, paperback, and Kindle editions from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million and other booksellers.
