Pioneer Theatre Company has cast Tony Vincent in the lead role of Frank-N-Furter in its concert production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.

Vincent originated the role of St. Jimmy in Green Day's Tony Award-winning stage musical American Idiot in the record-breaking pre-Broadway run at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and then performed the role when the show premiered on Broadway. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone said of Vincent's performance in the Broadway run: "the standout is vocal powerhouse Tony Vincent as St. Jimmy."

Vincent appeared as a contestant on the second season of the hit reality talent show The Voice, where he performed Queen's We Are the Champions, Journey's Faithfully, Tears for Fears' Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and The Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).

Vincent's other credits include touring and Broadway productions of Rent (as Roger and as Mark in the Broadway production); the film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar (as Simon), which led to a Broadway revival of that show in which he played Judas. Vincent was honored with an Outer Critics' Circle Award for that performance. Webber then selected him to travel through China, introducing the composer's music in a cultural exchange production later released on DVD as Andrew Lloyd Webber - Masterpiece (Live in Beijing). Vincent also played the lead role of Galileo Figaro in Queen's musical We Will Rock You on London's West End from May 2002 through November 2003, and in the Vegas production of the musical from 2004 to 2005.

The actor has a successful solo music career as well. His song "Love Falling Down" was the first independently released single ever to appear on the national CCM radio charts, and since then Vincent has had six number-one songs on Billboard's radio charts. His recent album In My Head contains the single "Starting Over," which was released during the time of his appearance on The Voice.
