The Marcus Center and Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts team up for a special event with Tom Hulce, Producer of Spring Awakening, on Friday, October 9 at 12 pm. This special event is part of the Marcus Center's 40th Anniversary year-long celebration.

This exclusive event will include a top price ticket for the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday performance of Spring Awakening at the Marcus Center plus a luncheon on Friday, October 9 at the Wilson Center.

Tom Hulce and several cast members will host the luncheon. Hulce will offer some insight in to this award winning show, after which he and select cast members will take questions from the attendees. The discussion will be moderated by local arts writer, Damien Jacques.

The event package costs $125 and includes lunch catered by North Star American Bistro plus top tickets to Tuesday, October 7, Wednesday, October 8 or Thursday, October 9 performances. Spring Awakening swept the 2007 Tony Awards® winning eight out of its eleven nominations, including Best Musical, Best Director (Michael Mayer), Best Book (Steven Sater), Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones), Best Orchestrations (Duncan Sheik), Best Lighting Design (Kevin Adams), and Best Featured Actor (John Gallagher Jr.). Based on the infamous 1891 Frank Wedekind play, Spring Awakening features a score by Duncan Sheik, book and lyrics Steven Sater, direction by Michael Mayer and choreography by the award-winning Bill T. Set against the backdrop of a repressive and provincial late 19th century Germany, Spring Awakening tells the timeless story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality as seen through the eyes of three teenagers.
