Two of France's most revered artists will make rare New York City appearances this Spring. Singer, songwriter and former first lady of France Carla Bruni will perform at Town Hall on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 7:30pm. Bruni is touring North America in support of her fourth album, Little French Songs, released in 2013. By overwhelming popular demand, French superstar Johnny Hallyday will return to the Beacon Theatre on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 7:30pm. France's biggest rock star brought his world tour to the Beacon Theatre in late 2012, where he delivered an unforgettable evening of his most popular songs to a sold-out audience.

Tickets for both concerts are available now at Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000.

Carla Bruni has been writing and performing music since 1997. Her debut album, Quelqu'un m'a dit (Someone Told Me), released in 2002, was an international hit which went on to sell more than two million copies. In 2003, Bruni won the Prix Raoul Breton, awarded by SACEM (French association of songwriters and composers) to recognize and encourage an up-and-coming songwriter or composer. She was awarded the Victoire de la Musique for Best Female Artist the same year. In January 2007, Bruni released her second album, No Promises, which set English poems to music. Among the poets she selected were Yeats, Auden, Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti, Walter de la Mare and Dorothy Parker. This second work, which sold more than 400,000 copies worldwide, shot to the top of the charts in both France and Europe. Her third album was released 2008 and was entitled Comme si de rien n'était (As If Nothing Happened), the title of a photographic work by her brother Virginio Bruni Tedeschi that appears in the album's booklet.

Influenced by Elvis Presley and American rock 'n' roll, Hallyday's (born Jean-Philippe Smet) musical career spans a half- century, having sold more than 100 million records, garnered 21 Platinum albums, 8 French music Awards (Victoire de la Musique), appeared in 36 movies and performed to more than 28 million fans. His most recent album, L'Attente, was released in November 2012. Among his numerous collaborations include Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Peter Frampton, Taj Mahal and Bono. With a variety of musical influences (rock, twist, yéyé, soul, pop), and a repertoire of more than a 1,000 songs, the iconic French rocker delivers a spectacular show with an undeniably strong stage presence. Famous for his trademark deep and rasping voice, Hallyday fills arenas and stadiums across France with fans of all ages.
