Tickets for the Broadway transfer of the new musical Hamilton - now playing a sold-out run Off-Broadway at The Public Theater through May 3 - go on sale to the general public starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, producer Jeffrey Seller has announced. Hamilton previews on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) on July 13 and opens August 6. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000. The Richard Rodgers Theatre is Mr. Miranda's Broadway home: his first musical IN THE HEIGHTS - winner of four 2008 Tony Awards including Best Musical - enjoyed a three-year run there.

HAMILTON will be a featured segment on the CBS SUNDAY MORNING telecast, hosted by Charles Osgood, this Sunday, March 8 (9 to 10:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time).

Inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail - both from the creative team behind IN THE HEIGHTS -- now comes Hamilton, about the scrappy young immigrant who forever changed America: Alexander Hamilton. Tony and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda wields his pen and takes the stage as the unlikely founding father determined to make his mark on a new nation as hungry and ambitious as he. From bastard orphan to Washington's right hand man, rebel to war hero, loving husband caught in the country's first sex scandal to Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy, Hamilton is an exploration of a political mastermind. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza Hamilton, and lifelong Hamilton friend and foe, Aaron Burr, all attend this revolutionary tale of America's fiery past told through the sounds of the ever-changing nation we've become. Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail directs and Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler choreographs this new musical about taking your shot, speaking your mind, and turning the world upside down.

HAMILTON is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.

Single tickets to Hamilton range in price from $55 to $147. Group tickets are on sale now through the Group Sales Box Office at www.broadway.com/group-sales-box-office or by phone at 800-223-7565 or 212-398-8383. For more information visit www.hamiltononbroadway.com.
