The Boca Raton Theatre Guild
Presents
Angie Radosh
in
The Year of Magical Thinking

Award-winning actress Angie Radosh will reprise her critically acclaimed performance in Joan Didion's play, The Year of Magical Thinking, in the Boca Raton Theatre Guild's production at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park, July 22nd - 25th.

Adapted for the stage by Didion from her National Book Award winning autobiography, The Year of Magical Thinking is both a love letter to a child and a tribute to an extraordinary, unconventional marriage, told with raw candor and a brilliant storyteller's gift for the absurd. The play chronicles an unfathomably shocking period in Joan Didion's life, and poignantly captures the compassion, humor, and bewilderment of a fiercely intelligent woman.

Noted director Genie Croft first staged The Year of Magical Thinking for the Women's Theatre Project in Fort Lauderdale in February 2010, and the Boca Raton Theater Guild is offering it to South Florida audiences once more.

Carbonell nominee (Speaking Elephant) Angie Radosh has performed at Florida Stage, Caldwell Theatre Company, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Gable Stage, Actor's Playhouse, New Theatre, and Key West Theatre Festival, and was part of the award winning City Theatre Summer Shorts ensemble. Her work has earned a Curtain Up award and citations from the New Times. She received the Silver Palm Award for her work in Speaking Elephant and The Glass Menagerie at New Theatre. Television and film work include Disney's "Johnny and the Sprites" and the award winning film "Lost Everything."

Genie Croft is a founding member and the Artistic Director of The Women's Theatre Project. She has directed all their productions, as well as created their original staged readings. Genie has also directed a variety of musicals, comedies (including Chapter Two for the Boca Raton Theatre Guild), and original theatrical pieces for a number of theatres throughout Florida. She was also the Founder and Artistic Director of the Plantation Players, Ft. Lauderdale Theatre Co., and Theatre Company of Plantation. She is a recipient of the Wilks Award for significant contributions by women in professional theatre.

Performances of The Year of Magical Thinking are on Thursday, July 22nd, Friday, July 23rd, and Saturday, July 24th at 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15, and are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Willow Theatre box office at 561-347-3948. For more information please visit the Boca Raton Theatre Guild's website at: www.brtg.org.
