The year is 1956. When a scientist with an inferiority complex to Jonas Salk (curer of polio, savior of mankind) decides to reanimate a disembodied hand to prove his worth, he doesn't consider that it might go on a fisting spree at the local fraternity house. Along the way, we learn lessons about love, acceptance, friendship, and most importantly, fisting.

After selling out runs in the Bad Theatre Festival, and then an extended run at the PIT Loft, The Disembodied Hand That Fisted Everyone to Death - the Musical! opens April 9th at the 99-seat PIT Striker Mainstage.

One part horror camp comedy, one part commentary on how the norms of entertainment have changed, and one part vulgar, obscene fisting, Disembodied Hand was listed as a top pick on "BestNewYorkComedy.com" during its run at the PIT Loft.

The show features music by emerging composer Amanda D'Archangelis, a book by Anderson Cook, and lyrics by Cook & D'Archangelis. The show is directed by Cook and produced by Cook and Rachel Brown.

The cast includes Ryan Andrews, Anderson Cook, Connor Wright, Andrew Ricci, Ben Lapidus, Aby James, Francesca Ferrari, Ayo Edebiri, and Jacob Grover.

Tickets can be found on the PIT's website. Performances are 4/9, 4/23, 5/14, and 5/28 at 11 PM at the PIT, 123 East 24th Street.
