The full cast has been announced for The Actors Fund benefit, They're Playing Our Song. The one-night event will take place on Monday, August 30th at 7:30pm and will raise money to help support The Actors Fund.

The book for They're Playing Our Song was written by Neil Simon, with music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager. The story is based on the relationship of Hamlisch and Sager, following the story of a composer and lyricist who embark on a professional and personal relationship. Their love story is a complicated one, filled with trials and conflict before ultimately reaching a happy end. The show premeired at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles in 1978 and, when picked up on Broadway in 1979, ran for two years.

The two main characters are Sonia Walsk and Vernon Gersch, and each character has a three-member Greek chorus posing as their inner voices. Sutton Foster has been cast as Sonia Walsk, and her inner voices will be played byAmber Efé, Kaitlyn Davidson, and Alex Ellis.

Seth Rudetsky has been cast as Vernon Gersch, and his inner voices will be played by Tyler Maynard, Matt Loehr, and Jesse Nager.

They're Playing Our Song will be performed at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College. Direction and choreography will be done by Denis Jones, with Steve Freeman as the musical director.
