Sting, Josh Radnor & More Take Part in DON'T QUIT YOUR NIGHT JOB Tonight

Don't Quit Your Night Job, the longest-running variety show featuring Broadway Stars since The Ziegfeld Follies, awakens from hibernation just in time to present the Don't Quit Your Night Job Holiday Spectacular!!!, tonight, December 11 at 11:30PM at 54 Below.

Special guests will include 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting (The Last Ship), Josh Radnor (Disgraced, "How I Met Your Mother"), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin), Derrick Baskin (Piece of My Heart), Alex Brightman (Matilda), Jenn Colella, (If/Then), Erin Davie (Side Show), Dion Flynn (Obama on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon"), Asmeret Ghebremichael (The Book of Mormon), Jason Kravits (Relatively Speaking, Lords of the Playground), Maurice Murphy(Motown), Emily Padgett (Side Show), Alysha Umphresss (On The Town), Kate Wetherhead(Submissions Only, The Other Josh Cohen), and more, joining creators Steve Rosen, Sarah Saltzberg, andmusic director Dan Lipton, with a visit from creator David Rossmer.

Proceeds benefit the Theatre Development Fund's Open Doors program, the theatre arts mentoring program for high school students.

Don't Quit Your Night Job began in 2006 as a one-off benefit, which grew into ten sellout months. That was followed by a commercial production off-Broadway in 2007 and then a long run at the Zipper Factory, playing to oversold houses monthly, through the venue's closing in early 2009. It then played at the Julia Miles Theatre and Le Poisson Rouge before landing at its current venue, 54 Below, in 2013. Over the years, Don't Quit Your Night Job has welcomed an astounding array of entertainers: Huey Lewis, Hank Azaria, Julianna Margulies, Michael McKean, Marc Shaiman, Alicia Witt, Anthony Rapp, Sara Ramirez, George Wendt, Bebe Neuwirth, David Hyde Pierce, Julie White, Patrick Wilson, Andrea Martin, Marc Summers, Kelli O'Hara and Mo Rocca are just a few of the many guests who have appeared on the show.

Open Doors is the Theatre Development Fund's theatre arts mentoring program for high school students, started in 1998 by TDF with playwright Wendy Wasserstein. Its goal is to explore the relevance of theatre in the lives of today's youth. The program matches distinguished theatre and dance professionals with students who have no prior exposure to theatre for an entire school year. Mentors accompany students to performances on and off Broadway, introducing them to the artists who create and perform NYC theatre.

Don't Quit Your Night Job is proud to have raised over $50,000 for Open Doors since 2006.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, is the performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 BELOW is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. In their description of 54 Below, The New York Times writes "the club has the intimacy of a large living room with unimpeded views and impeccable sound; there is not a bad seat. Its sultry after-hours ambience is enhanced by brocade-patterned wall panels planted with orange-shaded lanterns. And the atmosphere is warmer and sexier than in Manhattan's other major supper clubs." Located at 254 West 54th Street, 54 Below features up to three shows nightly with cover charges ranging from $15-$95.
