About the Author
Steve Curran was born in Bankstown, New South Wales. He and his six siblings were raised solely by their mother when their father died. Curran's grandfather, who was a cattle drover/bullock driver, used to tell them stories around the campfire and he considers those memories one of the most enjoyable ones in his young life.

Curran's daughters, who love to hear him tell bedtime stories, encouraged him to put his stories into writing. He worked in the earthmoving industry, driving earthmoving equipment, including bulldozers. The story of "Buster" came to him while he was working one day.
