Stay 'Up Late' on the High Line with Live Music and Dance

High Line visitors can roam the park after-hours in the first-ever "Up Late" evening as dancers, musicians, and visual artists illuminate the park with participatory performances, installations, and light and sound surprises.

The evening, presented by Friends of the High Line, will include immersive works by a variety of artists and performers, each contributing to the overall "Up Late" experience as park visitors become immersed in the late-night world of the High Line between Gansevoort and West 18th Streets. Those contributing to the evening will include:

• Rob Roth: Night Paving: The Aural History of Jackie 60 & MOTHER. Producers, performers, and attendees of the legendary Tuesday night club party Jackie 60 and nightclub MOTHER will take visitors on a soundscape journey of storytelling and music as they help recreate the club experience-and what nightlife was like around the High Line in the closing days of the 20th century.
• Jordan Eagles: Blood Illuminations. "Up Late" visitors will be immersed in the astonishing and bracing world of visual artist and activist Jordan Eagles, who uses striking illuminations of blood in his work.
• THE DANCE CARTEL with DJ Average Jo: Linelight. Visitors will participate in this ecstatic dance performance as it unfolds into a vibrant collective experience. DJ Average Jo will lead the beat and spin music throughout the night.
• Yael "KAT" Modiano & Ursula Scherrer: Urban Night Dialogue. Visitors will succumb to heavenly electronic and flute melodies, while dazzling visuals completely surround them on the park.
• Merche Blasco: Sonic Boom. Visitors can explore the Chelsea Grasslands by flashlight, as a grid of sensors trigger acoustic responses. The result will be a spontaneous symphony arising from communal interaction.
• Carte Blanche Performance: Ox Prowl. Mysterious dancers in giant glowing lanterns will guide visitors through the park, with surprising encounters and spontaneous performances.
