Playhouse on the Green, a 54-year-old not-for-profit theater company in residence at a beautiful 228-seat jewel-box theater in the heart of downtown Bridgeport, CT, continues its 2008-2009 season of plays and musicals with Richard O'Brien's outrageous musical comedy The Rocky Horror Show, which runs for 10 performances only from October 24-November 8, 2008.

Since this sexy parody of horror and science fiction films premiered onstage in London in 1973, The Rocky Horror Show has become a rock 'n' roll musical phenomenon around the world, and now it is poised to take Bridgeport by storm! Featuring a Transylvanian transvestite, a cryogenically preserved motorbiker, and an untraditional version of Frankenstein's monster, Rocky Horror is perfect Halloween-time fun, whether you grew up doing "The Time Warp" or you've never experienced this classic kitsch. One special midnight performance takes place each week (see full performance schedule below).

Matt Schicker is Producer. The Rocky Horror Show is directed and choreographed by Steven Smeltzer (Barnum - The Musical). Timothy Heavner is musical director and Jim DeVivo is leader of Bridgeport-area band Greasewheazer. The cast of 14 includes: Jessica Ferraday of Milford; Jackson Gerber; Tracy James of Sandy Hook; Renee Kaminsky of Wilton; John Lahey of Bridgeport; Gina Lariccia-Garcia of Stratford; Jim Nassef of Fairfield; Cheryl Papsidera; Shannon-Courtney Porper of Ridgefield; Nigel Rees of Milford; Brian Riley of Bridgeport; Corey Scheys; Kevin Thompson of Stamford; and Jimi Winter of Bridgeport.

Natalie Inzero is Associate Producer; Brandy Devoid is Set Designer; Michael Jarett is Lighting Designer; Meredith Neal is Costume Designer; Jim DeVivo is Sound Designer; Patti Rice is Production Stage Manager; Martha Kemp is Wardrobe Assistant; Sasha Mastro is Technical Director; Donald Rowe is Light Board Operator.
