Pinchbottom Presents NAKED GIRLS READING: SCIENCE FICTION

We have seen the future. The future is naked. The future is now. The future is on Friday, March 5th. The hit nude literary salon will explore strange new worlds of literature, as the people who bring you Pinchbottom Burlesque present NAKED GIRLS READING Science Fiction.

Nasty Canasta leads an all-star cast of burlesque performers - plus one professional librarian - beyond the stars, reading selections from sci-fi classics by Arthur C. Clarke, Aldous Huxley, H.G. Wells, Douglas Adams and more. "Watching these women read naked is like a utopian vision of a perfect future," promises Nasty. "In fact, a few of them are so perfect they may not be quite ... human."

The March salon continues the run of Naked Girls Reading at the plush and decadent upstairs lounge at Madame X in Greenwich Village. $25 reserved seating in this intimate space is limited to 40 patrons (and includes one drink from Madame X's 'Foreplay' menu), with a few standing room tickets available at $20.

"Given the clichéd image of less-than-attractive gentlemen dressed as Klingons," says Pinchbottom co-producer Jonny Porkpie, "one might be surprised to find that quite a few beautiful women are closeted science fiction fans. But one would be nothing short of delighted - as we were - to discover that several of these beautiful women also have a strong interest in reading said science fiction naked." ABOUT NAKED GIRLS READING
Naked Girls Reading was created in Chicago in March 2009 by Franky Vivid and Michelle L'Amour. The New York City edition, produced by Nasty Canasta and Jonny Porkpie of the award-winning Pinchbottom burlesque, debuted in October of that year to a packed house. Since its launch, NGRNYC has been covered in The New York Times, The Village Voice, Flavorpilll, and more. Entertainment Weekly called the NYC debut "appropriately racy" and "genuinely hilarious"; NBC New York asked "What did you get up to last Friday night? If you answered anything other than 'went to the Naked Girls Reading Banned Books event,' you lose"; and Tor.com said of the show "The effect on the crowd, mostly couples, was intoxicating...
