The team behind the 2006 independent hit film "Little Miss Sunshine" haven't made a movie in the time since - but, as the Los Angeles Times reports, a new film is in the works.

The film, which will be lead by "Little Miss Sunshine" directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris and producers Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, will be titled "He Loves Me" and will feature Paul Dano as a young writer. Despite early success, he encounters writers' block and attempts to write his dream woman; she ends up appearing to him shortly thereafter. His real-life girlfriend, Zoe Kazan, will play the dream woman.

Kazan will also pen the script. Although no additional casting has been released to date, the announcement is expected to come soon.

"Little Miss Sunshine" has been adapted into a musical, playing soon at La Jolla Playhouse. The Tony Award-winning creative team of composer/lyricist William Finn and writer/director James Lapine, who previously collaborated on the Tony Award-winning musicals Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, will bring their latest project to The Playhouse. The production will run February 15 - March 27, 2011 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.
