This musical weaves ABBA's well-known songs into a sunny tale that has delighted over 50 million people worldwide. Shortly before her wedding, a young woman swipes her mother's diary in the hopes of finding the name of her father. When she discovers three possible candidates, she decides to invite them all to the Greek island where the festivities will take place. "Mamma Mia! does what most jukebox musicals cannot do," says Producing Artistic Director Carol Dunne who directs. "It delivers characters we care about, and tells a story filled with heart and humor. The team who created Mamma Mia! realized the incredible power of a generation's music to ignite our emotions and propel us forward while revisiting the past." The production features Anne Torsiglieri (Broadway: Top Girls, Parade, Blood Brothers, and Miss Saigon; First National Tour: Les Miserables (Fantine)), Jean McCormick (Northern Stage: Les Miserables), Mark Epperson (National Tour: Elf The Musical), Clare Howes Eisentrout (Northern Stage: Songs for a New World), Susan Haefner (Broadway: State Fair, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and 42nd Street), Kurt Zischke (Northern Stage: A Christmas Carol, Twelve Angry Men), Eric Bunge, Pascal Pastrana, Tanisha Moore, Dani Westhead, Robert Anthony Serrano, Andreas Wyder, Kyle Brand, Lizzy Nichols, Jamari Johnson Williams, Caitlin Doak, Tyler Nabinger, Owen O'Leary, Liza Couser, and Margaret Hunton.
