This week, Wednesday September 24 at 6PM, Any Wednesday has the pleasure of presenting the elegant songstress Leslie Orofino who is currently holding forth at the Metropolitan room on Sundays. She'll be giving us some of the highlights from her current show, plus some songs from her enchanting album "Moonlight Cocktails."

October overflows with musical events at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble (66th and Broadway. Of course, Any Wednesday continues to provide you with the best cabaret, jazz and theater performers each Wednesday at 6PM. Each perfomance lasts approximately a half hour and is followed by a singing/meet-and-greet session with our guests. But do read beyond the listing of this month's entertainers for other live concerts taking place in the store.

Wednesday, October 3 at 6PM: Broadway star Judy Kuhn (Rags, Les Miserables, She Loves Me) celebrates the release of her new album, "Serious Playground," devoted to the songs of Laura Nyro.

Wednesday, October 10 at 6PM:  Another edition of our popular series within a series, "New Voices" in which we give you a chance to discover some of the best and brightest new cabaret performers on the scene. This week: Deborah Shulman, Marcus Simeone and Laura Wolfe.

Wednesday, October 17 at 6PM: West Coast cabaret star Linda Kosut has been earning great acclaim for her new album and show that celebrates the works of Oscar Brown Jr.

Wednesday, October 24 at 6PM: Join us and help New York cabaret favorite Cynthia Crane celebrate the release of her brand new album "If I Knew Now, recorded live at Helen's."

Wednesday, October 31 at 6PM: Jasper Kump created quite an up-roar when he took part in a "New Voices" evening earlier this year. Now he returns on his own with his highly anticipated new album, "Starfish + Coffee Live!"

Monday, October 1 at 7PM: Richard Barone, the former lead singer of the The Bongos recounts his rise to fame and life in the spotlight in his new book, "Frontman: Surviving the Rock Star Myth." He will be joined by some special guests and treat us to some musical surprises as well.

Thursday, October 4 at 5:30PM: Our final panel discussion with participants in the New York Musical Theatre Festival (the second is this Thursday, September 27) will focus on what it's like climbing the ladder of success from the perspective of young, emerging musical theater writers. Musical performances from some of the NYMTF shows will be included.

Thursday, October 4 at 7:30PM: Wilfrid Sheed's clever exploration into the roots of popular Amercian music, "The House That George Built," earned two rave reviews in the New York Times. Now come and hear passages from the book, as well as theater songs created by the masters of the genre performed by Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Allan Harris and Miss Julie Wilson.

Tuesday, October 16 at 7PM: Grammy award-winning songstress Amy Grant discusses her autobiography, "Mosaic." She will also honor us with a special musical performance.

Sunday, October 21 from 2 – 5 PM: At our special Cross-Over Music Festival, discover musical artists who are re-defining the genres of music with tenor Gilber-Michel Rolle, violinist Anastasia Khitruck and the Quartet San Francisco.
