NYS Arts presents its awards to outstanding contributors to the arts, education and community at annual fall Gala, Monday November 17th

Tony Award Winner, Barbara Cook; Executive VP of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, Phoebe Jacobs; Elysabeth Kleinhans' 59E59 Theaters; and President of Corning Incorporated Foundation, Kristin Swain, to be honored.

Arturo O'Farrill to perform along with Broadway stars Kelli O'Hara, Rebecca Luker, and Michael Dansicker

NYS ARTS will present four awards for outstanding leadership and advocacy of the arts in New York State at its annual gala Monday, November 17th, 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Manhattan Penthouse, 80 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan.

Tony award winner, Barbara Cook; Elysabeth Kleinhans' 59E59 Theaters, Phoebe Jacobs, Executive Vice President of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, and Kristin Swain, President of Corning Incorporated Foundation and Executive Director of The Rockwell Museum of Western Art, will all be recognized for outstanding commitment and dedication to arts education and advocacy.

In recognition of legendary honoree Barbara Cook, Broadway performers, Kelli O'Hara, Rebecca Luker and Michael Dansicker will be serenading Cook's legend by singing a musical homage. In addition, jazz great Arturo O'Farrill will be paying tribute to patron of the jazz community, Phoebe Jacobs.

Expected to attend are well-regarded columnist, Stanley Crouch, Tony Award winner for her role in The Color Purple, LaChanze; Broadway's Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, Tituss Burgess; Broadway's Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Scarlett Strallen; and Broadway's Bert in Mary Poppins, Adam Fiorentino.
