Fresh from this year's Fringe, THE COSMIC CALAMITIES OF HENRY NOODLE and HOW TO SAVE THE WORLD AND FIND TRUE LOVE - IN 90 MINUTES have been invited to participate in the uptown NYMF, giving them the opportunity to extend their successful runs. As previously announced, LULU, an original selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival also coming off the Fringe, will continue with performances during the Festival.

In addition to the above three, FRINGICAL!: A FRINGICAL!!, a tongue-in-cheek romp centered around the famed festival, has also been added to the 2004 NYMF slate.

Additional information and performance schedules are as follows:

"The Cosmic Calamities of Henry Noodle: a sci-fi musical comedy adventure"
Book, music and lyrics by Tim McCanna
Mixing sci-fi parody with a melodious, musical landscape ranging from polka and pop to Broadway-style show stoppers and schmaltzy Christmas tunes, The Cosmic Calamities of Henry Noodle is fresh enough for the hippest of New York theatergoers, but fun for all ages.

At Theater Three

"How To Save The World and Find True Love - in 90 Minutes"

A hilarious pop musical about Hot Relations at the United Nations. A cowardly tour guide, a sexy diplomat, and an idealistic slacker risk everything when an office romance leads to global crisis. A modern tale of love and paranoia.

"Fringical!: a Fringical!!"
Book by Sam Forman and Thomas Kail; Music by Eli Bolin; Lyrics by Sam Forman; Musical Staging by Neil Stewart; Directed by Thomas Kail.
August in New York City can only mean one thing: The New York International Fringe Festival. This new musical tongue-in-cheek romp centered around the famed festival has something to say about the current theatrical climate from way Downtown to the Great White Way.

Lulu, a poor girl born in the back of a slum - with dreams of a romantic and opulent life like those she sees in silent movies, is determined to succeed by whatever means possible.

At the Belt Theater
