'Minimum Wage' to Close Dec.15

Minimum Wage will conclude its Off-Broadway run with the 8PM performance this Saturday, December 15.  Previews on September 28, 2007 and the show had its Official Opening Night on October 20, 2007.  Upon closing, Minimum Wage will have played a total of 43 performances (30 regular performances and 13 previews).

Minimum Wage is an acappella musical in which five staffers of a Big Brother-type fast food chain attempt to initiate new trainees (the audience) into the wonders of Hamburgerology.  Directed by Guy Stroman, the production was created by Charlie and Jeff LaGreca with music and lyrics by Sean Altman and The LaGreca Bros.  Minimum Wage features the award-winning, five-member acappella troupe made up of Jeff LaGreca, Charlie LaGreca, Bill Caleo, Tony Daussat and Darcy Yellin.  Music direction is by Will Bryan.  Movement is by Scott Rinc. 

In 1998 the Minimum Wage was awarded a Bistro award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Act by Back Stage.  The following year they were chosen as the Mid Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes Champions and went on to win "Audience Favorite" in the National Finals.  In 2002 they were named one of Time Out NY's "Year's Best."  They have been seen on Nickelodeon, the Food Network, the Fox Network, Comedy Central and "Good Day New York.
