Nineteenth century London comes to life when Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and Ebenezer Scrooge go on a fantastical journey thorough Christmas Past, Present and Future. Filled with beautiful music, stunning costumes and joyous dancing, Dickens' classic masterpiece celebrates its 38th year at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Proudly sponsored this year by Wells Fargo, this beloved holiday tradition has delighted families for generations at the historic Pabst Theater. Adapted by Joseph Hanreddy and Edward Morgan, Dickens' A Christmas Carol brightens the holiday season with its timeless message of hope, peace and love and the true meaning of the holidays.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is delighted to announce that Rep Associate Artist Aaron Posner returns to The Rep to direct A Christmas Carol after directing last year's heartwarming production. Posner directed The Rep's To Kill a Mockingbird, which broke all-time attendance records during the 2011/12 Season, as well as the lyrical, beautifully-realized production of My Name is Asher Lev in 2010. Accomplished stage actor Christopher Donahue returns to portray the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. Also returning to this year's production of A Christmas Carol are Melody Betts, Renata Friedman, Marti Gobel, Alexander Pawlowski, Jonathan Smoots, Luigi Sottile, Emily Trask and Jonathan Wainwright. New to the cast are Michael Doherty and Beth Mulkerron, who both were recently seen in The Rep's hit production of Ragtime, and guest actor Craig Wallace, who will be making his Rep debut. Rep Associate Artist James Pickering also joins the cast this year. A Christmas Carol runs at The Pabst Theater from November 27 - December 24 and opens on Friday, November 29.

"A Christmas Carol is an integral part of our season each year and we are so fortunate to be able to perform it in the beautiful Pabst Theater," says Artistic Director Mark Clements. "It warms my heart to see so many families attend this iconic holiday production, and to hear their stories of what it has meant to them over the years. It really has become Wisconsin's favorite holiday tradition."

"It is a delight to be back with A Christmas Carol at The Rep for my second time. This story never gets old," added Director Aaron Posner. "No matter how often we may hear it, it is wonderful to be reminded that generosity is among the greatest of our human attributes, and that profound change really is possible. It is an honor to be working with so many amazing artists - some have been part of this grand tradition for two decades and more, and for many it is their first time. But all of them are bringing all their talent, courage and generosity of spirit to make The Rep's best A Christmas Carol ever."

Mark Clements added: "Last year's production marked a new era for our Carol moving forward in the capable hands of my good friend and colleague, director Aaron Posner. I'm so pleased that Aaron has agreed to return to tell our treasured tale of redemption and rebirth, and to move it into the next stage of its life here at The Rep with his customary attention to detail, flair for visual storytelling, and great, warm heart."
