Miles Teller will be the guest of honor and be presented with the first annual Stonestreet Granite Award at Stonestreet Studios' 25th anniversary celebration, to held on November 14th at TAJ in Chelsea. He will be presented the award by John Cameron Mitchell, who directed Teller in his first feature film role in "Rabbit Hole."

Awarded to an actor, director, producer or screenwriter, the award celebrates those who have emerged from Stonestreet's in-house conservatory and who have gone on to create provocative, meaningful and relevant independent film and television projects, reflecting Stonestreet's mission and highlighting their dual nature as conservatory and Production Company. Teller starred in multiple Stonestreet series and shorts during his two year immersion in the Stonestreet conservatory before going on to star in the Academy Award winning Whiplash . He will next be seen in the lead role of Open Road's buzzy Bleed For This, a biopic on the life of former world champion boxer Vinny Paz.

Stonestreet Studios , founded in 1991 in New York City by director/producer/creators Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Gary O. Bennett, is a unique combination independent film & television studio and screen acting & production conservatory, creating the perfect transition to that of a real film set, working on a wide range of genres from comedy and drama to sci-fi and thrillers. The Bennetts laud a very special kind of mentor/director that understands and models a nurturing yet challenging and constructive professional environment. The conservatory is the exclusive screen acting and production partner of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Drama program.

"Gary and I feel like the proud parents of so many amazing and talented people, careers and projects - Miles being the shining star of them as he is so very hard-working, constantly stretching himself, he continues to evolve and surprise and never loses his vulnerability on screen," says director and program creator Alyssa Rallo Bennett.

About Stonestreet's Founders
The Bennetts, award winning director/writer/producer team Alyssa and Gary, are the founders of Stonestreet Studios and creators of work ranging from socially speculative feature films like " Rain Without Thunder
" (Jeff Daniels, Linda Hunt, Steve Zahn) to socially conscious films such as "The Pack" (Luci Arnaz, Elizabeth Moss), both theatrically released and have garnered critical acclaim and awards in over a dozen international and domestic festivals .
The Bennetts are currently finishing a millennial feature at Stonestreet, "ReRUN " a modern day twist on "It's a Wonderful Life". Through their character driven films and pilots, like " Videola" starring 9 up and coming Stonestreeters, Gil Zabarsky, Michael Pemberton and Sean Young (Blade Runner, Ace Ventura) , or "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" they often explore socially and culturally provocative issues like humans versus technology, the individual versus corporate world.
