Michael Hunsaker, Bligh Voth, and More Announced For THE TIME MACHINE at NYMF

The cast and creative team for the premiere of the new musical, The Time Machine, with book by David Mauk and Brenda Mandabach, music and lyrics by David Mauk, has been announced. The Time Machine, an Official Selection of the 2017 New York Musical Festival, will be directed by Justin Baldridge with choreography by Jim Cooney and music direction by Kristen Lee Rosenfeld.

The Time Machine will open on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 8:00 PM and will play a total of 6 performances at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street).

In this wicked retelling of the classic novel by H.G. Wells, a troubled inventor discovers a modern dystopia where machines are nonexistent and love is forbidden. Extraordinary events force him to venture underground where he must face the demons that control his future.

The Time Machine will star: Michael Hunsaker (Chance and Chemistry) as Thomas, Bligh Voth (Million Dollar Quartet) as Wenissa, Marc Moritz (Yentl) as Uncle Filby, Barbara McCulloh (Peter Pan) as Mrs. Watchett, Michael Thatcher (Julius Caesar) as Nathaniel Sayer, Doug Chitel (Ragtime) as Dean, Lori Tishfield as Elizabeth, Martavius Parrish (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Reverend, Randal Keith (Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera) as Professor Dash, and ensemble members Shiloh Goodin, Aisling Halpin, Darrell T. Joe, Lamont Walker II, and Tony II Lorrich.

The creative team includes Lauren Mills (Scenic Design), Vanessa Leuck (Costume Design), Jamie Roderick (Lighting Designer), Patrick LaChance (Sound Design), Don Cieslik (Projections Designer), and Adele Rylands (Fight Director). Alice Pollitt is the Production Stage Manager.

The Time Machine is being produced with support from John Norman, Jeff Hair, and Joan Samaroo & Ted Zorbas.

The Time Machine will play the following performances: Tuesday, July 11 at 8:00pm; Thursday, July 13 at 5:00pm and 9:00pm; Friday, July 14 at 9:00pm; Saturday, July 15 at 1:00pm; and Sunday, July 16 at 5:00pm.
