The Metropolitan Opera's revival of Bizet's beloved classic, CARMEN, will be broadcast on November 8 at 1:00 pm at Town Hall Theater.

Richard Eyre's mesmerizing production of Bizet's steamy melodrama stars mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili singing her signature role of the ill-fated gypsy temptress. Aleksandrs Antonenko plays her desperate lover, the soldier Don José, and Ildar Abdrazakov is the swaggering bullfighter, Escamillo, who comes between them. Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the irresistible score, which features one beloved and instantly recognizable melody after another.

Tickets for the November 8 broadcast are $24, $10 for students, and may be purchased at the THT box office: 802-382-9222, www.townhalltheater.org, or at the door.
