White Rabbit Productions and Ego Actus Theatre Company present the premiere of DEBRIEFING, a play by Maximillian Singh Gill, directed by Joan Kane, as part of the 2016 New York International Fringe Festival, August 12 - 28, 2016.

Longtime colleagues, Bruce A! Kraemer and Andrew Rothkin have combined their efforts for the premiere of celebrated author, Maximillian Singh Gill's, riveting new political drama, DEBRIEFING, making its New York bow at the 2016 New York Fringe Festival.

DEBRIEFING, relates the story of a young Pakistani-American activist who was recruited to infiltrate a militant group in the Middle East. She disappears. Now her recruiter must find out whether she was betrayed ... or did she just change sides? His discoveries make the situation far more complicated.

In a time when the world is changing around us at a furious pace, this controversial piece is all-too timely.

Playwright Maximillian Gill's works have been produced by a number of companies and festivals, including the Abingdon Theatre in New York City, the InspiraTO Festival in Toronto, Swivel Theatre's Arab Women in Revolution festival in London, the Liverpool Arab Arts Festival in Liverpool. He was part of a team of authors on Swivel Theatre's Waiting For Summer at The Etcetera Theatre, London, winner of a grant from The Arab British Centre.

The play is directed by Joan Kane, the founding Artistic Director of Ego Actus. Ms. Kane, a celebrity in her own right, has credentials that begin on Theatre Row and 59e59 Theaters in New York City and extend to premieres in Oslo, Prague, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, just to name a few. She was named to the Indie Theatre Hall of Fame by nytheatre.com; nominated for Outstanding Direction awards three times each in the Midtown International Theatre Festival and Planet Connections ... winning once.

The producing partners are Bruce A! Kraemer of Ego Actus, dedicated to providing the audience with a complete theatrical experience; and Andrew Rothkin of White Rabbit Productions, whose mission is to create vibrant productions of literate, challenging plays and films.

Mr. Kraemer is a celebrated lighting designer with credits that include Roundabout Theatre, Soho Rep, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Ensemble Studio Theatre, 59e59 Theaters, NYC Fringe, Bleecker Street Theater, not to mention technical work on the Summer and Winter Olympics, World Cup, two Papal visits, three Superbowls, six Tony Awards, the Grammys, three Video Music Awards, and ten Christmas Tree Lightings at Rockefeller Center, again, to name a few.
