The producers of An Evening of Dirty Dancing have announced the casting of the winner of Channel 4‘s Musicality Matthew Goodgame who will be joined on stage by West End leading lady and Coronation Street actress, Rachael Wooding at the Beck Theatre Hayes on April 26th, Lowther Pavilion on May 4th, The Elgiva Chesham on June 1st & Fairfield Halls Croydon on June 8th.

Rachael Wooding has recently been playing the role of Mandy in ITV's Coronation Street. Prior to that she starred as Mary Delago in Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre. Rachael played the title role of Eva Peron in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita and played Amber Von Tussle in the original London production of Hairspray. She played Meatloaf in the smash hit Queen musical We Will Rock You, Annette in Saturday Night Fever, Miranda in Return to the Forbidden Planet, & Ariel in the UK premiere tour of Footloose. Rachael was also invited by Michael Ball to appear as a special guest in his summer concerts during 2011 and later this year will star opposite Paul O’Grady, Julie Goodyear & William Roache in the brand new arena tour Coronation Street: Street of Dreams.

Matthew Goodgame captured the nation’s attention when he won Musicality, Channel 4‘s search for a musical theatre star. Since then he has worked prolifically in the West End, taking the leading roles of Danny Zuko in Grease The Musical, Billy Flynn in Chicago and was privileged to sing for Stephen Sondheim during his 75th Birthday Gala at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

An Evening of Dirty Dancing is a feel good concert and has something for everyone, girls and guys alike. You'll find yourself on your feet, swept away on a wave of nostalgia as you sing along to all the hits including; Do You Love Me, She's Like the Wind, Big Girls Don't Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes and the Oscar-winning (I've had) The Time of My Life.
