Actress Lorraine Olsen unveils the work of a professional Art Model in FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING tonight, October 17 at 9 p.m. in the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, in Manhattan. Directed by Maggie Low. Tickets $18 at Telecharge.com.

Lorraine Olsen returns as an Encore Artist at the 2013 United Solo Festival with FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING - a memoir peopled with the artists, educators and students of the San Francisco Bay Area. The play is structured as a typical drawing session and audience members may opt to draw during the performance.

FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING won Best of 2011 San Francisco Fringe Festival and has performed at the 2ndStage of SF Playhouse and WOW Cafe Theatre and 2012 United Solo Festival in New York. In November the play will perform at The Carl Cherry Center in Carmel, CA.

Theatre Valentine is the alias for the collaborative work of actress Lorraine Olsen and dramatist Val Hendrickson. They have presented the West Coast premieres of John Patrick Shanley's THE BIG FUNK, Cindy Lou Johnson's THE PERSON I ONCE WAS and Harry Kondoleon's SAVED OR DESTROYED.
