Lin-Manuel Miranda returned to his Puerto Rican roots this week, visiting the U.S. territory in order to accept the honor of a star on the Walk of Fame. The Tony Award winner caused quite a stir as his fans, hoping to catch a glimpse of greatness, flocked to the various sites he visited. During a press conference, the Hamilton creator joked of the ruckus, "I'm the weirdest Pokémon on the island!"
Miranda also turned his attention to politics during the press conference, addressing the current economic crisis facing Puerto Rico. "We have to continue that conversation and define who we are," he explained. Throughout the visit, Miranda documented his trip on Twitter, sharing snapshots of his meet-ups with fans and family.
