Kritzerland has announced its next two releases: the original cast recording of The Brain from Planet X and the debut album from Joan Ryan.

The Brain From Planet X had its world premiere in Los Angeles in December, 2006. "An affectionate and hilarious send-up of bad 50s sci-fi movies, The Brain tells the story of an alien invasion circa 1958 - a Brain and its two alien cohorts, Zubrick and Yoni, arrive on Earth and plan to take over the San Fernando Valley - the first step on the road to their quest to take over the entire planet and to destroy the family unit," state press materials.

The cast features Kevin Spirtas (Days Of Our Lives), Alet Taylor (The Producers), Lauren Rubin, Cason Murphy, Merrill Grant, Benjamin Clark, Egbert Bernard, among others.

The cast album features 23 tracks, and has musical direction by Richard Berent and orchestrations by Larry Moore. The book is by David Wechter and Bruce Kimmel, with music and lyrics by Kimmel.

Joan Ryan's (Ruthless!) debut album is also  now available on Kritzerland. "Ms. Ryan's vocal tour-de-force - sexy, thrilling, heartfelt - takes us through a diverse and wonderful selection of songs with unique and original arrangements."

The CD includes "Shall We Dance" (which was featured in Scott Hamilton's "Stars On Ice" show), "I'm Flying," "Trust The Wind," "I Won't Last A Day Without You," "Strangers Once Again," "West End Avenue," and "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever."

The album is produced by Bruce Kimmel, with musical arrangements by Scott Harlan, Michael Orland, Ron Abel, and John Boswell.

The Brain From Planet X and Joan Ryan's CD are available for preorder at www.kritzerland.com and copies preordered there will be shipped at least two weeks prior to the street date of February 27th.
