BroadwayWorld has confirmed that WICKED's Katie Rose Clarke has joined the cast of the upcoming Broadway production of Allegiance, starring Geroge Takei, Lea Salonga, and Telly Leung. Clarke will take on the role of 'Hannah.'

ALLEGIANCE wil begin previews on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 with opening night set for Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Television and film star Takei leads the new musical which had its world premiere in a record-breaking engagement at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. Allegiance has a book by Marc Acito with music and lyrics by Jay Kuo. Helming the production is Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Off-Broadway's Bare, Carrie, Altar Boyz).

Allegiance is inspired by Takei's true childhood experiences. Traversing the lush California heartland, the windswept prairies of Wyoming and the battlefields of war-torn Europe, Allegiance tells the epic multi-generational tale of deep family loyalty, romance, humor, optimism and unparalleled heroism in the face of fear and prejudice against Japanese-Americans during World War II and beyond.

Takei, the original and beloved Mr. Sulu from "Star Trek", film and television star, activist and social media icon, will make his Broadway debut in the production.

Clarke is best known for her portrayal of Glinda in the Broadway and National Touring Companies of Wicked, as well as for her portrayal of Clara Johnson in the PBS Live Broadcast and Lincoln Center productions of The Light in the Piazza. In TV and Film, Clarke's recent work includes The Good Wife (CBS) and the upcoming independent film, Maybe There's a Tree.
