Dan Knechtges (Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu) will direct a January 8-9 industry reading of the new musical GLORY RIDE. Tony Award nominee Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar), Alison Luff (Matilda), Quinn van Antwerp (Jersey Boys), and Herndon Lackey (Les Miserables) will lead the cast.

The Manhattan reading features music, lyrics and a book written by the father and daughter team Todd and Victoria Buchholz.

GLORY RIDE tells the true story of a heroic conspiracy to sneak children out of Fascist Italy on bicycles. "We call it 'Les Mis meets Ocean's Eleven,'" said Victoria Buchholz, who discovered this untold tale while traveling in Tuscany. "This fascinating story could rewrite how the world remembers the Italian Resistance during World War II," she added. Victoria Buchholz is a law student at Stanford and a graduate of Cambridge University. Todd Buchholz is a former White House adviser, NPR commentator and best-selling author.

Tony Award nominee Knechtges directs a cast that also features Russell Fischer, Robert Hager, Howard Kaye, Denis Lambert, Neal Mayer, Nora Menken, Spencer Moses, Chris Ramirez, Cliff Saunders, Jonathan Shew, and Stephen Zinnato.

Greg Jarrett (Side Show) is Music Director, and Tara Rubin serves as casting director.
