Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series continues its 2006-2007 season on Wednesday, March 28, at 6:00 pm with a pre-performance talk with the playwright, Christopher Shinn, moderated by award-winning playwright John Guare.  Shinn's play Dying City recently opened to critical acclaim at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

LCT's Platform Series is a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers. Platform Series events take place between the matinee and evening shows on Wednesdays, from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm, in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street).   Admission is free and open to all; however, seating in the lobby is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only, beginning at 5:30 pm. (Speakers and schedules are subject to change.  Call 212-362-7600 to confirm on the day of the event.).

Shinn's plays, which include Four, Where Do We Live, What Didn't Happen, The Coming World and Other People, have been produced at Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club, the Vineyard Theatre, among others. He is the recipient of an Obie Award for Playwriting and a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series was introduced in the summer of 1998.  Transcripts of the previous talks are available on-line at www.lct.org .
