Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will host their second monthly Factory Salon-an informal new works open mic night-on Thursday, July 17th, from 8pm to Midnight. Musical Theatre Writers are invited to showcase new songs, and singers are invited to perform songs by new writers. Joe Iconis (The Black Suits, Bloodsong of Love, NBC's Smash) is headlining the event, which will also feature sets by guest composers Lizzie Hagstedt, Alexander Sage Oyen, and Zack Zadek. The Factory Salon is hosted by MTF Artistic Director Shakina Nayfack. There is a $5 cover charge payable at the door or online at http://musicaltheatrefactory.org/events/salon2

The Factory Salon is presented at part of The Musical Theatre Factory's inaugural summer season. The Musical Theatre Factory is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping musical theatre artists develop and present new work in a collaborative atmosphere free from the pressures of critical or financial success. More information can be found at www.MusicalTheatreFactory.org

Musical Theatre Factory is located at 250 West 40th Street (between 7th & 8th Ave) on the fourth floor.
