Jersey Boys, the award-winning Broadway musical, will open in London's West End at the Prince Edward Theatre on Tuesday, March 18 2008, following previews from February 28.

The musical "is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons – Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi – and how this group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American and International pop music sensations of all time.  They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty.  Their songs include 'Sherry,' 'Walk Like A Man,' 'December, 1963 (Oh What a Night),' 'Big Girls Don't Cry,'My Eyes Adored You,' 'Let's Hang On (To What We've Got),' 'Bye Bye Baby,' 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You,' 'Working My Way Back to You,' 'Fallen Angel,' 'Rag Doll,' and 'Who Loves You.'" state press materials.

The show is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. The London production will be staged by the entire original Broadway creative team, led by director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo.  The show has scenic design by Klara Zieglerova, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Steve Canyon Kennedy and projections design by Michael Clark.  The orchestrations are by Steve Orich and the music direction and vocal arrangements by Ron Melrose.  Casting is by Jill Green.

Jersey Boys opened in New York in November 2005 and became an immediate sell-out. The show won four 2006 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and continues to play to standing room only at the August Wilson Theatre. It is the winner of the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.

Jersey Boys will be produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner, with a small group of UK colleagues.

Performance times at the Prince Edward Theatre will be 7.30pm Mondays-Saturdays, with Tuesday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets, priced from £20.00-£60.00, are available from the Prince Edward Theatre Box Office on 0844 482 5151 or online at www.jerseyboyslondon.com.
