She joins stars Victor Garber as presidential candidate John P. Wintergreen, Jefferson Mays as the highly forgettable Vice President Throttlebottom, Jennifer Laura Thompson as the muffin-baking Mary Turner, Jonathan Freeman (Senator Lyons), Erick Devine (Senator Jones), Michael Mulheren (Fulton), Lewis J. Stadlen (Lippman), David Pittu (the French Ambassador), Wayne Duvall (Gilhoohey), and Jeffry Denman (Sam Jenkins).  Also in the cast are Eric Michael Gillett, Holly Holcomb, Todd A. Horman, Fred Inkley, Jay Lusteck, Ian Knauer, Raymond Jaramillo McLeod, Marcus Nance, Nina Negri, Greg Stone and Jacqueline Thompson.

Of Thee I Sing is the uproarious 1931 satire of love and politics, with an operetta-ish score by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind.

Powers, who made her Broadway debut as Meg in Little Women, has appeared regionally in Bounce, A Little Night Music, 1776, Dangerous Beauty and more.

Opening on December 26th, 1931, Of Thee I Sing was the first musical to win a Pulitzer Prize. The show ran for 441 performances with William Gaxton, Victor Moore and Lois Moran in its cast; Let 'Em Eat Cake was a sequel by the same team. Of Thee I Sing's score includes such songs as the title number, "Love is Sweeping the Country," "Who Cares?" and "Wintergreen for President."
