When LATE LATE SHOW host and stage star James Corden's ideas go viral, you can expect they'll hit the road on up from there. Literally.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that the actor's CARPOOL KARAOKE segment from THE LATE LATE SHOW is currently being shopped as an original series. Corden would not return as host, but could make occasional appearances and will be involved as executive producer.

Early interest in the series -- so much so there could be a bidding war -- suggests the project is ripe for Syndication as well. CBS Television Studiso and Fulwell 73 are on board as producers.

Corden's CARPOOL KARAOKE already has 412 million Youtube views, with Adele's appearance in January bringing in 84 million hits alone.

In the regular comedy bit, Corden picks up everyone from Adele to Justin Bieber to Sir Elton John for a drive around the neighborhood, while rockin' out to some of the artists' classic tunes.

As previously announced, the Tony Award-winning actor (for ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS) will emcee the 70th Annual TONY AWARDS this June.
