Grace Gummer Leads TeenNick's 'Gigantic' in 2010

New York actress Grace Gummer, Meryl Streep's daughter, has been cast in TeenNick's new series Gigantic, a television drama about the hectic life of being a Hollywood "It" kid. The show will air on TeenNick beginning in early 2010.

In a role not too distant from her own life, Gummer will play the 17-year-old daughter of a famous couple. She will be joined by Gia Mategna, Tony Oller, Jolene Purdy and Ryan Rottman.

Gigantic, explores the "real life" side of Hollywood behind the tabloids and glitz. 17-year-old Anna (Gummer) and her younger brother Walt (Oller), are the children of a famous movie star couple.  They show follows their life along with a cast of characters that includes Anna's best friend Piper (Purdy),frenemy Vanessa (Mantegna) and Anna's boy crush with a big secret Joey (Rottman).

Gigantic, is conceived by Ben and Debby Wolfinsohn and is produced by Marti Noxon.

Gummer made her major New York stage appearance in Neil Blackadder's The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents at the Wild Project in the East Village in 2008. In the production, she played a drugged-plagued girl who develops a sex obsession, resulting in an unwanted pregnancy and messy abortion.
