Harold Gould will co-star with Dominic Fumusa in a national tour of the sentimental favorite Tuesdays with Morrie that will come to 13 cities across the United States beginning on September 20th.

The play will star Gould (who replaces the previously-announced Hal Linden) in the title role of the ex-sociology professor who learns to cope with Lou Gehrig's Disease and Fumusa as Mitch Albom, Morrie's former student who as a successful sportswriter, resumes visiting Morrie once a week. Albom wrote Tuesdays with Morrie with Jeffrey Hatcher; it was a 1997 bestseller before it became a play. The tour will be directed by Michael Montel, and will feature sets by Michael Anania and costumes by Ellis Tillman.

The tour will kick off at the Coconut Grove Playhouse (3500 Main Highway) in Miami, Florida on September 20th, and play through October 9th. The show will then head to venues in Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Washington D.C., Nashville, Atlanta, Louisville, Minneapolis, Appleton and Fort Lauderdale.

Gould, who won an Obie Award for his performance in Difficulty of Concentration, also appeared on Broadway in Mixed Emotions, Artist Descending a Staircase, Grown Ups and Fools. He is a familiar face to TV viewers for his turns on "Rhoda" and "The Golden Girls," among many others, and he has also been seen in dozens of films. They include Freaky Friday, Stuart Little, Silent Movie, Love and Death and The Sting.

Fumusa has been seen on Broadway in the thriller Wait After Dark, and he originated the role of Teddy Koovitz in the Public Theatre production of Take Me Out. His film and TV credits include The Guru, "NYPD Blue," "Charmed," "Sex and the City" and "The Sopranos."

Tickets to Tuesdays with Morrie at the Coconut Grove Playhouse range from $40 to $60, and are available by calling (305) 442-4000. For more information, visit www.cgplayhouse.org.
