Join winner of "Best Female Solo Show" at the San Francisco Fringe Festival and NY Innovative Theater Awards "Outstanding Solo Performance" nominee, for the world premiere of Una's newest, freshest, full-bodied one-woman show: JapJAP. Trying to find out who she is, tearing down borders and tearing off clothes, JapJAP's body is her only roadmap as she embarks on a journey through identity, culture, and history. Performed by Una Aya Osato.Una Aya Osato (writer) press has called her "an Olympic shape-shifter...[with]... freakily flexible dramaturgical hands," and giving "chameleon-like bravura performance." She was born and raised in NYC and works as a performer, writer and educator. Una has performed her own work (Recess) and the work of others in an array of venues nationally and internationally, from theaters, to classrooms, to community centers, to prisons.
Moises Belizario (director) for the last two decades he has worked professionally as a writer, director and actor in film, television and theater. He is currently the Artistic Director of the nationally acclaimed CityKids Repertory Company in NYC. In addition to his years of directorial work with Una, and at The CityKids Foundation, he is also in development on a new Broadway musical. ### www.playjapjap.wordpress.com
