Freshkills Park Talks Presents Photos of Post-Industrial NYC, 3/30

The Freshkills Park Talks lecture series continues this month with a slideshow and discussion presented by Nathan Kensinger, a New York-based photographer and filmmaker. Kensinger will be sharing images and stories from the abandoned industrial edges of New York City, including sites along the Gowanus Canal, inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and at Fresh Kills, among others. Kensinger's photos have been featured in The New York Times, The New York Post, New York Magazine, The Architect's Newspaper, and other outlets and are currently on display as part of an exhibit titled "The Gentrification of Brooklyn" at Brooklyn's Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts.
