Dolly Parton Eyes Kristin Chenoweth for Bio-Pic Musical

By:

Kristin Chenoweth has not had to suffer the burden of unemplayment long since her recent Emmy win for Pushing Daisies this fall. The actress has since had guest spots on GLEE and recently starred in the Lifetime flick 12 Men of Christmas, which aired Deecember 5. She will be returning to the Great White Way in the spring to star alongside Sean Hayes in Promises Promises, and last night, December 7, she appeared on Carrie Underwood's All-Star Holiday Special on FOX.

It is looking like yet another important role may be coming her way in the near future.  During the concert, special guest Dolly Parton revealed that she is working on a musical biopic, and has none other than Chenoweth in mind to portray her on stage.  Says the 9 to 5 musical legend: "I've been working on my life story as a musical...I think Kristin Chenoweth would be real good...But seriously, I'm hoping that she might possibly do that when I get finished."

Chenoweth reciprocated the sentiment by alluding to her desire to sing with Parton in several comedy sketches.

Chenoweth is best known for her Tony Award winning role as Sally Brown in Broadway's You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, her role as Glinda in Broadway's Wicked, and her role as Annabeth Schott in television's The West Wing. She most recently appeared in the role of Olive Snook on the ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies for which she won the 2009 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy.
