"Carole J. Bufford: Body and Soul" is adding dates to its Metropolitan Room run, which was originally scheduled to end on Wednesday. Now running through March 15, "Body and Soul," plays three more times -- Wednesday February 27 at 7pm, Monday March 4 at 7pm, and Friday March 15 at 9:30pm.

Scott Siegel has conceived and produced the show, which features musical direction by Ian Herman (on piano), and Matt Wigton on bass. The world premiere of "Carole J. Bufford: Body and Soul" began performances on January 16 and was scheduled to play five dates through February 27.

Bufford first emerged when she was a 2009 MetroStar Talent Challenge runner-up. After tapping her to appear in several of his "Broadway by the Year" concerts, Siegel cast her in his long-running "11 O'Clock Numbers at 11 O'Clock" at Feinstein's at Loew's Regency. The petite powerhouse earned raves only eight months ago for her solo show "Speak Easy" at The Metropolitan Room. In his review of "Speak Easy" in May, The Times' Holden called Bufford "a sizzling cabaret performer... She can be dangerous, but she is also funny."

"Carole J. Bufford: Body and Soul" performs three more times: Wednesday February 27 at 7pm, Monday March 4 at 7pm, and Friday March 15 at 9:30pm. There is a $20 music charge and a two-drink minimum.
