Lynchburg, Va.

Liberty Mountain Publishing author Carmen Nelson returns with a new book in her series about third culture kids (TCKs). "Jacob & Katie in South Korea" follows two children during their move to South Korea and their first experiences with a new culture - including Kimchi, the subway, and traditional Korean dance.

Along with exploring a new culture, Jacob and Katie also deal with bullying and feeling left out, discovering that their self-worth is not determined by bullies. "Jacob & Katie in South Korea" is a hope-filled adventure that children can learn from and enjoy. The book is available online through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Nelson's experiences help her relate to those who feel misplaced. She grew up in a military family, traveling the globe. As a child, she was unsure why she felt different from other children her age who had grown up in one location. As she got older, she realized that growing up among many cultures had affected her relationships, her feelings about home, and her view of the world. Through her TCK children's series she hopes to help young people overcome their insecurities and find joy in life, in any environment. Carmen is an alumnus of both Eastern Mennonite University and Liberty University.

Liberty Mountain Publishing focuses on Christian-living publications, such as novels, inspirational books, and children's books.
