The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce the return of the new talk/variety evening, "Saturday Night Underground." The next event on Saturday, February 9 (11PM-2AM), special guests include David Burnham (Wicked), Annie Golden (Xanadu)! Also new to the show is the "Shot to Sing" promotion where, each evening, audience members can win a free shot by singing a song from a particular theme.  The theme on February 9 is "Stephen Sondheim."

Host Ben Rimalower (director of The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, Joy and Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches), is regularly joined by the fabulous Dreams (Larry Hamilton, Rob Tucker and Jamaal Wilson) and pianist Mark Hartman (Avenue Q).

The evening will be a casual variety show, featuring interviews and performances from some of New York's most intriguing personalities. And the fun doesn't stop there, audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and sing a song or tell a joke, recommend a great restaurant or complain about a bad date.  Host Ben Rimalower will mingle with the crowd, inviting people to join the show.  So bring your sheet music or guitar, your funny stories and your axes to grind.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located downstairs, within The West Bank Café (407 West 42nd St., at 9th Avenue.) There is a full bar menu available, and reservations are not necessary for this event. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, and priority may be given to those who wish to order from the bar menu. There is no cover charge.
